News: LEGO Corner Garage marked Last Chance to buy in some markets
Is this a sign that LEGO Assembly Square and LEGO Corner Garage could both be retired in 2021?
Last week we reported on some Australian retailers clearing their stocks of LEGO Assembly Square with significant discounts off the retail price.
Now there are signs that the LEGO Corner Garage (10264), which was released two years after Assembly Square could be the next to go.
American user Harris Gartenberg posted on Facebook this week that some LEGO stores in the US had marked the LEGO modular under Last Chance to Buy.
It’s worth noting that the LEGO.com site in the US, Canada and Australia doesn’t have it listed as last chance to buy and indeed has the modular set as temporarily out of stock.
Sites like Brick Economy still have their projections for Corner Garage’s retirement as 2022. This is likely to be based on the fact that this set was only released in 2019 which would be a relatively short run for a modular.
Although there are certainly reports that the Corner Garage is a less popular modular than some of the others in the series which could also be a factor.
